Kinnerley Mothers' Union

The next meeting of Kinnerley Mothers’ Union is on Thursday October 3rd at 2pm in St Mary's Church Kinnerley.
The speaker will be Katharine May telling us about the parenting programme used by Mothers’ Unions in this country and around the world. It will be an interactive meeting.
Teas: Marcia and Doreen.

In September we were fortunate to have David Doonan speaking to us about the work of The Ark in Shrewsbury, the charity where they run a drop-in centre for the homeless, providing hot meals, showers, dry clothing or any other help needed. They do wonderful, much-needed work, often under difficult circumstances. Thank you very much David.

The November meeting is on November 7th, a self-directed meeting.
Everyone is always welcome at our meetings.

Mothers' Union has initiated a new project,
" Life sucks without socks."
This new project concerns the homeless. Those living on the streets are very often in wet socks which causes them great problems with fungal infections.
Kinnerley MU are going to support people who are homeless in Oswestry and Shrewsbury through charities who help. We shall be collecting socks for ladies and gents. Also needed are ladies briefs sizes 8/10/12 and gents boxers sizes small and medium. Sleeping bags and rucksacks are always needed, and with the weather turning colder, hats, gloves and scarves would be welcome.
If you would like to donate any items, there will be a box at the back of Kinnerley Church. This is an ongoing project.
Thank you.
